The new high-speed rail line connecting Chengdu, Chongqing, and Zhangjiajie officially started operation on June 27 and is now in operation, reducing travel times to Zhangjiajie to just 3 hours and 58 minutes from Chengdu and 2 hours and 2 minutes from Chongqing.

With the opening of the Chongqing East to Qianjiang section of the Yuxia High-Speed Railway, trains can reach a maximum speed of 350 km/h (217 mph). The railway operator has implemented a dual-timetable system combining regular and peak-hour schedules, with up to 54 trains running daily.

The launch of this high-speed rail service has significantly shortened travel times. Passengers can now travel from Chongqing to Changsha in as little as 3 hours and 53 minutes, while the journey from Chengdu to Changsha now takes under 5 hours.
